STURRIDGE CALLED UP TO THE FULL ENGLAND SQUAD

Congratulations to Danny Sturridge who last night, was called into the full England squad for our two friendlies coming up against Spain and Sweden.

It has been coming and well deserved in my opinion. Sturridge has played well this season although in the last couple of games he hasn't been anywhere near as effective as he was at the start of the season.

Sturridge will offer Fabio Capello two options with his team as he looks to experiment with a youthful side in both games. Sturridge as we know prefers to play down the middle but can also do a great job wide right cutting inside.

Let's hope Sturridge gets some game time and shows Fabio exactly what he can do. For me, if he gets his form back for Chelsea and remains consistent, he has a great chance of making the squad for Euro 2012 (as long as we qualify).
