We sit three points behind United and City in the Premier League. Tomorrow United travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool which is no easy game and City take on Villa at home. Next weekend, United and City play each other at Old Trafford and god only knows what will happen in those games.
Chelsea have in my view are our biggest two games of the season so far in Everton at home tomorrow followed by our local rivals QPR next weekend. Some people may find that statement a surprise but I can assure you in my mind, it's isn't at all and I'll explain why!.
For Chelsea to be successful this season, and to be fair in recent weeks we have looked like doing so, we need to ensure we play to our maximum, take each game as they come and focus on three points week in week out.
Tomorrow and next week are no different but offer Chelsea our first chance to capitalise on two tough games for United and for City. I wouldn't be surprised if United come out of both games with six points but, we have to concentrate on ourselves and not worry about what they are doing.
It's games like tomorrow and at Loftus Road next week where Chelsea need to grab our chance to eat into the gap between us and the Manchester sides with both hands and put a marker down.
Sir Alex knows we are there lurking in behind them, waiting to pounce if they slip up and AVB has stated that although we are playing well, we are not sitting top of the league so need to continue to improve.
AVB said yesterday:
Being honest here, if things go our way in the next two weekends, we could take on Arsenal at The Bridge sitting top of the league but again, we have to earn the right to be there.
I am hoping for, and expect two big, big performances from Chelsea starting tomorrow. Like I said, these are the games we have to win!

"With two difficult games against Everton and Queens Park Rangers we will try to get six points and see how we benefit from that situation."(Source)
