Torres "obsession" as linked with a move from Chelsea!

AVB was quick during pre season to have his say on Fernando Torres and what he believed at the time was a media obsession with the Spaniard. It seems that after just five games into the season the obsession with Torres has started again and yesterday Fernando Torres was linked with a move to AC Milan as part of a swap deal.

It really is ridiculous now. I had already seen this article stating that Juan Mata has been given a locker next to Torres at the training ground to help them both "settle in" but then I come across this simply ridiculous story about a move.


The article states the following:

Chelsea could offload Fernando Torres to AC Milan in a stunning swap deal with Robinho or Alexandre Pato, according to reports in Italy.

Torres has scored just once since signing from Liverpool for £50million in January and is struggling to adapt to life at Stamford Bridge.

Milan missed out on Torres when he left Atletico Madrid for Liverpool in 2007 but are long-term admirers and are ready to offer one-time Chelsea target and Manchester City flop Robinho in exchange.

For me it's just another example of the media trying to do what they can to put even more pressure on us as a club, the manager and the players ahead of United on Sunday. Are we reading negative stories about United at the moment? Are we bollocks!.

It's all about negative Chelsea this and that and it really grates me. So you read articles such as this about a move away and all I can say is that the article is utter rubbish.

I for one back Fernando Torres and what he can bring to the club and I have said on record, if he did say what he did then he has a point and was spot on.

Fernando Torres will not be offloaded in January at all. Fernando Torres IS a Chelsea player, he wants to be a Chelsea player and wants to be successful.

Fernando Torres and his Chelsea team mates will travel to Old Trafford on Sunday a very different Chelsea side than last season. With Mata and Meireles in the side, Torres will have a great season and get the service he so desperately needs. Starting Sunday!.
