LUIZ: "EVERYDAY WE ARE GETTING BETTER"

David Luiz has been sorely missed at Chelsea this season so far but news that he is back in training and available to play against Sunderland is great news for all of us. With being back at Chelsea yesterday after being with Brazil, Luiz has spoken for the first time about AVB and also about the signing on deadline day of Raul Meireles.

He said:

“Villas-Boas deserves to be in charge at Chelsea and I am convinced he will succeed in England. Every coach has a different style of work. Andres is different to (Carlo) Ancelotti and I am hoping for more success than last season. I had respect for Ancelotti but, of course, it is easy when the manager also speaks my language.

During training sometimes he speaks Portuguese to the Portugese speakers and it’s easier to understand. Maybe we could use it as a secret tactic in matches.

Every day we are getting better and I bet we will have success this season. We have made good signings and I think Raul Meireles can be a big player for us. We played against each other in Portugal and he was difficult to stop. For us it is sensational that he can increase our level on the pitch.”

The key here to remember is that we are getting better and it has only been three games. We also need to look at the signings we have made this summer and HAVE TO be pleased with them all. We needed rejuvenating and AVB has done that.

It should be easier for the likes of Ramires, Luiz and Meireles to settle down now and understand where the manager is coming from and his ideas compared to last season. Remember, Luiz played against AVB's Porto side before he signed for us in January and in addition to that, Ramires and Luiz would have played against Meireles in his time at Porto.

According to Luiz, the signs are already good under AVB with our new signings so let's hope we get the success he believes we WILL have this season.
