We all know the apparent backlash surrounding the comments made by Fernando Torres the other day that is being focused on by the press as once again they look to focus on our Striker. Torres has got stick at Chelsea ever since he moved here purely and simply because of the transfer fee involved. Every single step he makes, the way he plays or the fact he is on the bench creates headlines and the fact he said:
When I changed club, I knew it was going to be a slow process, although I didn't expect it to be so long.So I am wondering what you people think about this "investigation" that is taking place about the comments made and if you think what he has said is true?.
Chelsea is, between the English teams, maybe the least English. That's because of the kind of player Chelsea has - an older player, who plays very slow, who has a lot of possession, and that's what the club is trying to change now.
It's normal that it takes some time; it's not easy to find midfielders because the best are already in the best teams and that's why I said that the arrival of Mata is going to give another pace to the team.
Daniel Sturridge, who has been ruled out for some matches, is also an incredible player, maybe the one that surprised me the most since I came here.
In the next matches, you will see another pace, and I hope the midfield will adapt to that pace.
That is what you need in the Premier League. If not, then the teams don't work. When the team will start to get the ideas of the new coach, about paced and vertical football, it's going to be very good."
For me he is dead right. Look at the performance with Mata and Meireles in the side. The game was played at a quicker tempo by Chelsea and we looked to get the ball forward quicker.
Even still, Torres when he came on was through on goal waiting for the killer pass to be played into him and he was BLATANTLY IGNORED once again which is really frustrating.
Look, I understand if he has issues it should be discussed internally and I am sure it has been but we have to admit it looks at times as though he is the most frustrated player on that pitch and we all know why he is!
I reckon Torres is spot on myself. What do you think?

Torres should vent out his frustration in dressing room or manager's office and not on a national daily.
