STURRIDGE "He has been brilliant all pre-season"

I posted about Danny Sturridge the other day and the fact that I believe that he has done more than enough to be selected to start games (when his domestic three game ban runs out) ahead of Nicolas Anelka and Kalou and it seems that JT agrees.

JT, speaking of Sturridge and his current pre season form said:

Studge has been brilliant all pre-season. He went away last season on loan and gained from the experience of playing week in, week out. He has grown into how good he believes he can be and everyone is seeing that now.

It is just unfortunate he has his three-game ban, otherwise I am sure he would have been the first name down on the team sheet because he has been brilliant so far."

I really agree with that statement. Sturridge really has taken the bull by the horns and shown AVB exactly what he can do. If JT is saying it, you can bet your life that AVB will be thinking it too.

Drogba and Torres take up most of the headlines before games and it's almost as though Sturridge has become the forgotten man once again in the media. If Sturridge can flourish this season on that right hand side cutting in onto his left foot then who knows where it could take us this season. One thing Sturridge has in abundance is blistering pace and that will always be an advantage over anyone he comes up against. He really could become a match-winner on his own.

Let's hope Sturridge gets his chance literally as soon as his domestic ban ends and he carries on showing everyone exactly what he can do in a Chelsea shirt.
