AVB: NO ONE IS SAFE!!!

Yes you heard me right and isn't it great to hear. How many times last season did we all feel that certain players should have been dropped when we were on our bad run but it never happened?. How many times did we see players looking like they knew they would start games even though their form was dodgy?.

John Terry has confirmed that as far as AVB is concerned, you have to earn the right to start games and as long as your form is good, you will play.

Speaking to The Sun and featured in their newspaper and online today, Terry revealed what life has been like under our new manager. He said:

"It's a fresh start for everyone. We've had to come in and prove ourselves, even though he watched every game last year and he knows a lot of the players anyway.

He said anyone can lose their place so we all came in fighting for our places and we're all keen to see what the starting XI is going to be against Stoke.

At times you go through the season when you're playing well and you're winning and you half take it for granted. It is why you get the blips at the Wolves and the Stokes last year, where we slipped up. Andre just reminded us about last pre-season and how we hardly won a game. From day one, the very first thing he spoke about was that. And our mentality in our first game against Wycombe at the training ground was to win.

You realise that not winning can have a knock-on effect. You go home to your family and take it out on them and your friends so all I want to do is to win.

I want to be first at everything I do and we should all have the same mentality."

It's great to hear the impact AVB is having on the players. All this rubbish we keep hearing about his age and being an unproven manager who has never played the game at this level in his life is ridiculous.

He is a modern manager, with modern methods and part of his method is the mental side of the game, of preparation with the players.

I really honestly believe that Chelsea are being taken for granted by the so called "pundits" in the press and the media and are being written off this season far to easily.

We have the players, we have the experience and if we can be as tough mentally as we are physically, there really might not be any stopping us this season.

Some of you may think I am hyping us up too much and fair enough if you are thinking like that. I really, really believe in Chelsea this season and I can't wait to get started.
