Encouraging signs already from AVB.

Branislav Ivanovic is featured on the Official Chelsea Website talking about pre season training so make sure you check out the full article.

It's the part he says about AVB that interest's me most at the moment as I guess all of us are wondering how the players will take to him this week as they work together for the first time.

Ivanovic has been impressed which is good. He said:

"A couple of guys have known him a long time but some of us have just known him for a couple of days and the first impressions are very good. There has been an interesting dynamic to the first couple of training sessions, and we will have time to get to know him and see what he wants us players to show him on the pitch.

I think he will give all the players a great opportunity to give their best for the team. Like him, we want to be a better group, a better team. Individually everyone knows we have the quality but we have to work as a team and as a group.'

Two things, first of all it's encouraging that Branna says the first couple of sessions have been good which is all important. Secondly, he sounds as though he has already got his message about "the group" across in the early stages of pre-season and Ivanovic for one has bought into it.

I know it's early, but the signs are good already! Let's hope it continues!
