"I've seen him rip the Chelsea senior players to pieces in training"

Ex-Chelsea man Ray Wilkins heaped praise on Danny Sturridge and believes he "can be anything he wants to be" as far as his football career is concerned.

Wilkins said:

"He's an enormously talented guy, he's extremely quick and I've seen him rip the Chelsea senior players to pieces in training but that has obviously got to be translated on to the Saturday afternoon.

Unfortunately at Chelsea it didn't quite happen on the Saturday's for Daniel but going to Bolton where there was slightly less pressure he flourished and played some excellent football.

He's still only a young man. I honestly believe Daniel can be anything Daniel wants to be if he's prepared to give the blast.

I think he could be an exceptional talent."

We keep on saying this don't we, but his talent and eye for a goal is there for all to see and going to Bolton has been a great success for him. He has proven he can cut it in the Premier League and can score goals at this level.

With reported interest from other Premier League clubs now as well as Bolton, it appears that Chelsea have "slapped" a £20m price tag on his head to scare people away, but for me it would be a bargain.

Chelsea need to hold onto Sturridge and give him a go. If he can score goals at Bolton (no disrespect) imagine what he could do for Chelsea playing week in, week out in our first team!
