I said it the other week, if ever the opportunity arose to buy Wesley Sneijder then Roman Abramovich needs to take it with both hands and do whatever it takes to bring him to this football club. Sneijder would be fantastic for Chelsea.
It appears (according to The Sun) that Guus Hiddink, who has been an advisor for Chelsea over the past couple of seasons, has told Roman Abramovich to do whatever it takes to outbid the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City to sign Sneijder.
If this is true then it's fantastic news for Chelsea as I think we all agree we were lacking that cutting edge, that creative spark last season and if Fernando Torres is going to become a major success at Chelsea, he needs the service.
Of course the rumour mill changes from day to day and will go into overdrive when Chelsea appoint a new Manager which is expected to be Hiddink as only yesterday we were linked with Cesc Fabregas and Luka Modric just last week.
To be honest, any of them would be great at our club but what are the chances of signing them?.
When it comes to Sneijder, the key thing here I am reading this morning is the fact that Inter Milan have reportedly stepped up their interest in taking Kaka back to Milan which would pave the way for Sneijder to leave as he has already expressed an interest in playing in the Premier League.
Let's just see what happens in the coming days/weeks. I have to say though, if we do get Sneijder it would be amazing!
