HIDDINK REFUTES "CHELSEA CLAIMS" ONCE AGAIN.

Now the Guus Hiddink to Chelsea soap opera that appears to be going on at the moment with the "will he, won't he?" questions constantly being raised on a daily basis took a turn over the weekend.

When Guus Hiddink returned from a trip to South Korea, he was asked once more about rumours of Chelsea and also of his "reported" recommendation to Roman Abramovich to sign Wesley Sneijder. Hiddink responded :

"After Belgium-Turkey I went to South Korea. I did not go on holiday, I went to one of my projects in the country where I worked during the World Cup of 2002. I do a lot of work for charity there. I am busy creating lots of pitches, in particular for handicapped people.

When I got back to Europe I was confronted with all sorts of stories, saying I had told Chelsea to sign Sneijder.

I am not making a fuss about any of the other stories, but I have to make it clear there has been no contact between the club and me in the last couple of weeks. I have enough on my plate trying to get Turkey to the Euro finals."

Now I don't know about the rest of you, but as the clock is ticking by from day to day with our pre season fast approaching on 4th July I am beginning to wonder just how long Chelsea are prepared to wait to sort out their new manager?.

It has always seemed as though Hiddink was our number one choice and I still think he is, but with this last quote coming from him you do have to wonder!.

Could it be that Roman Abramovich has someone else in mind and has to wait until 1st July to be able to negotiate with a certain Mr Hughes?
