"Hiddink feels he still has a job to do there"

It looks increasingly like Guus Hiddink is poised to become the new Chelsea manager taking over from Carlo Ancelotti. In the last couple of days there has been plenty of rumour and speculation about Hiddink coming here.

Towards the end of last week it seemed it that the deal was more or less done and dusted after the round of Euro 2012 qualifying games had taken place this weekend. Then yesterday we heard from Hiddink's agent to state that he would be in charge of Turkey for their qualifying games at the beginning of September so I posted that Chelsea could turn their attentions elsewhere because we need someone here to take pre season and prepare the side.

Now this morning as quoted on the BBC website, the Turkish FA have confirmed that they are more or less resigned to the fact that Hiddink WILL leave to come back to Chelsea.

They said:

"Hiddink says he has a contract but these promises don't have value. Chelsea is too good an offer to turn down and the TFF understands this. Hiddink feels he still has a job to do there [Chelsea}. He wants to work every day and win championships, maybe the Champions League. We will understand that he has coached his last Turkey game as long as Chelsea pay the compensation."

So as being reported it will take £4m to release Hiddink from his contract with the Turkish FA and the question remains just how quickly will Roman get this sorted so we can officially announce Guus as our Manager?
