AVB makes ANOTHER impact at Chelsea!

As we all saw earlier today, the scheduled pre season game against Vitesse Arnhem has been cancelled. The official Chelsea website broke the news this afternoon and The Guardian is running it's take on the reason the game was called off and they believe that it's all AVB's doing. The article states that AVB felt that to play a preseason game just five days after training started was too soon.

I have to agree with AVB on this one. I remember seeing the games the club had organised and wondered why we would play so soon. It doesn't really make any sense does it?.

To think, he's our new manager and want's at least a couple of weeks for the players to get to know him and his training methods, his staff and buy into his belief into how he wants them to play football.

With the game being cancelled it now means Chelsea will have 12 days to prepare for their first Pre Season game on 16th July against Portsmouth before heading off to Asia.

I have said it before and will say it again, I am buying into this guys ideas so far and pre season training hasn't even started yet!

I can't wait!
