Zola's coming home?

Could Gianfranco Zola be making his way back to Stamford Bridge as Carlo Ancelotti's new number two in the summer?. According to TuttoMercatoWeb, they believe that if Carlo Ancelotti stays at the club and move into his third season at the club, he will ask for Zola to come back as his assistant. The article states:

Chelsea are seeking an assistant manager after the shock removal of Ray Wilkins in the autumn. The departure of a man that was deeply popular with players and supporters alike coincided with s dreadful run of form for the club with the relatively unknown Michael Emenalo assuming his duties. While the Nigerian is thought to impress owner Roman Abramovich, manager Carlo Ancelotti has preferred to consult with one of his other coaches, Paul Clement, instead casting Emenalo's future in doubt.

Ancelotti’s own future is far from certain but if he is retained for the final year of his three year contract next season, he will ask for Zola to be appointed - a move that will be welcomed with open arms by the Stamford Bridge faithful as well as senior members of the playing squad who hold him in high regard.

I have to say if there is anything in this, you would imagine everyone at the club would be happy from up in the Boardroom to the players. Zola's managerial career has never really taken off where he tried at West Ham but failed for a number of reasons. Maybe coming in as an Assistant to Carlo would be ideal for him too.

I personally would love to see Zola or Dennis Wise as our Assistant Manager next to Carlo as these guys would have the instant respect of the players. They both know Chelsea inside out and would be great as the link man between the players and Ancelotti.
