Danny Sturridge confirms what we all thought!.

Yesterday Danny Sturridge confirmed what we all have been thinking ever since he has been playing first team football at Bolton and scoring goals. He wants to play first team football for Chelsea and if he doesn't next season he will be forced to look to move elsewhere.

He said:

"I want to play first-team football regularly for Chelsea Football Club. I love the club. I have been at the club now for a year-and-a-half and have been on loan at Bolton. I love playing football for Chelsea.

I don't want to say I am going to leave the club, I want to play regularly, but for me next season it is very important to play first-team football.

I want to play at Chelsea but if the chances don't come at Chelsea, then I will have to look elsewhere.

Whatever Chelsea's decision is. It's not for me to make that decision. The only decision I can make is that I want to play first-team football and that's the one that I choose to take. First-team football is very important for me next season."

Let's be honest, we all knew it would happen. The question remains and will remain until the summer, Will he get his chance at Chelsea next season?. I really hope he does because no disrespect to Bolton at all but if he can score the goals he has there since January, then imagine just how many he can score playing a full season for Chelsea starting regular games!?.

The key thing for me is the fact he has stated his love for the club and WANTS to be a success at Chelsea. He is doing everything the club has asked him to do because he knows he can be great for us. The ball is well and truly in Chelsea's court and it will be interesting to see what happens.

I think he deserves his chance at the club.
