Roberto Mancini has come out with a surprising statement featured on ESPN where it seems his focus has changed for challenging for the title to making sure his City's side finish in the top four. He said:
The reason I posted this is because he has said they he feels as though they "deserve" it because they have been in the top four for 28 games!. I just want to say that we know more than anyone this season, it's about where you finish in May that is important. Your final league position is THE representation of just how well you have done for the whole season and not just 28 games. Hopefully Chelsea will show between now and the end of the season where we should be at least!.
If I was Mancini I would be worried as not only have you to deal with the news about Kolo Toure yesterday, but you have Chelsea breathing down your necks with a game in hand as we are only 2 points behind and you still have to come to the Bridge.
It pain's me to say it, but my money is on Spurs for fourth place again!
