There is little doubt that the game tomorrow is massive. Let's hold our hands up and be honest here, Chelsea were woeful at Goodison in the first game and lucky that Kalou was able to come on and nick a goal to bring us back to the Bridge for another chance. Chelsea never looked like scoring and Everton were the better side.

Tomorrow's game has taken on a whole new meaning since the first game as our Premier League title hopes have faded away. The main focus of our season now would be the Champions League but this competition is one that Chelsea will want to win and expect Carlo and the players to be right up for this one.

We have come under criticism from the media, press and even our own fans after the last two games against Liverpool and Fulham and tomorrow is a chance, away from the Premier League, to restore some confidence and for the players to express themselves the way we know how.

I have to say, Everton is no easy game. I have to admit that I am surprised at their league position and the situation they find themselves in. I have little doubt that David Moyes will be able to get them out of it and up the table sooner rather than later. So likewise for Everton, tomorrow's game is a change of focus and they will look to come here and get a result.

Tim Cahill being back is a massive boost for Everton as the side we faced without him is much different to the side with him in it. We are all well aware of the threat he poses from set pieces and we will need to make sure he doesn't win his fair share of the ball. Fellaini also poses a threat in the air that we must deal with.

Louis Saha looks to be out of the game and for me that's a bonus for us as he always plays well against us. In Jermaine Beckford, they have a ready made replacement and he will be looking to add to his goal here earlier in the season as Everton gained a well deserved point.

Whoever plays for Chelsea needs to be aware of the threat Leighton Baines poses down our right hand side. He caused us problems earlier in the season at the Bridge and will look to get forward again tomorrow.

Everton have good players, work hard for each other and will look to play to their strengths. Like I said, despite their league position, you can tell all the players are still right behind their manager and will give everything for him.

For Chelsea it's simple, we need to win and some would argue win well. Fernando Torres is cup tied but David Luiz is available. I think the frustrating thing for all of us is what's happened to our play in the previous two games and I just wonder if Carlo will revert back to the same side and formation that started against Sunderland away in a game that Chelsea won well apart from Luiz replacing Bosingwa?.

Didier Drogba will return to the starting line up and it will be interesting for all of us to see how he reacts to being benched for the Fulham game. The fact that Torres is unavailable could spark the side back into life in a tried and trusted 4-3-3 formation with Malouda and Anelka playing either side of Drogba.

The good thing for Chelsea as Carlo continues to work on a definitive shape for our side incorporating Torres is that he now has plenty of options. There is a healthy competition for places in our back four, midfield and up front and this will be of benefit to us for the remainder of the season.

If if it was me picking the side tomorrow then I have to consider Everton's threat first of all and would select Luiz at right back, Ivanovic and Terry in the middle and Cole down the left. Didier Drogba in addition to JT, Ivanovic and Luiz would provide cover in defensive areas when we are dealing with set plays. All of them are 6ft + and should cope with the threat of Cahill and Fellaini.

Midfield I would go with Mikel in the holding role to pick up loose ball and simply because of the fact he is assured on the ball. I would play Lampard and Ramires either side of him and give Essien a rest.

Up top I would go with Malouda out left, Drogba through the middle and Kalou on the right in place of the rested Anelka. So as a result our bench would be, Turnbull, Bosingwa, Ferriera, Zhirkov, Essien, McEachran and Anelka.

No matter who plays, Chelsea HAVE to play well. We have to play at a quick tempo and not the slow paced game we have seen in recent weeks. I have gone for the 4-3-3 formation as it is important that we play as Carlo calls it "our football" and we open the game up. If we can move the ball quickly and get it wide then we will create chances.

It could be a close encounter tomorrow as these games normally tend to be. Then again, with both sides coming into the game with something to prove to themselves and their fans this could be end to end with chances and goals galore.

At the end of the day, we are the holders of the FA Cup and it's important we defend our trophy in light of everything that has happened. It's a time for both sides to refocus, get a win and kick on.

It really is difficult to call this one as anything can happen on the day. I can't help but think that the result tomorrow will be decided by how we approach the game. Chelsea need to be in the right frame of mind, motivated, determined and hungry for this tomorrow. Anything else and it will be a struggle to beat Everton.

It's going to be a cracking atmosphere and a fantastic cup tie, of that there is little doubt. I just hope that Chelsea get out there and show everyone what we are made of.

KTBFFH.
