Steven Pienaar linked. What do you think?

Everton's 28 year old South African Steven Pienaar is the latest name being linked with Chelsea. This article in the DAILY MAIL states that Pienaar is out of contract in the Summer, with Spurs longtime admirers of the player but Carlo could tempt David Moyes to cash in on him this month by making a move for approx £3m. The article states that Moyes would be reluctant to sell but if Chelsea made an offer of a loan or loan signings to Everton they could be tempted.

I personally like the player. He is full of energy and works hard for his side and has a goal in him. However, you do have to question if he would make it into the side or does Carlo see Pienaar as a squad player?. If he does, then Pienaar would be reluctant to come to the club and I believe would favour a move elsewhere to ensure he gets regular first team football.

It would be interesting to see if this is just pure speculation as the player and his agent are obviously looking at where the best deal would benefit the player for his football and of course financially.
