Hello everyone, sorry have had some problems with my pc which explains the lack of blog posts over the weekend. My take on the 2-0 win over Blackburn is to follow soon but one story has grabbed my attention today after I posted on here on Friday that to me things behind the scenes do not seem right at Chelsea.
Now I have taken some stick from a rival site on that post but it seems that Harry Redknapp has hinted that there are strange goings on at Chelsea these days.
It's all to do with the reported £3m deal Chelsea have offered Everton for Steven Pienaar. Now we all know that Carlo more or less denied any deal for the player in his press conference last Friday as he said:
'I read a lot of names in the papers, not just Pienaar. There are a lot of rumours, a lot of speculation and sometimes agents use the names to earn more money. I can just say that Pienaar is a good player, we know him very well, but this doesn't mean we need him to play here.(Source: Chelseafc.com)
We are thinking about some players and if we find the right players we have the possibility to buy.'
but since he spoke the deal has taken a turn and it's believed that the player is discussing terms with Chelsea today.
Now we all know after David Moyes confirmed the deal offered by Chelsea for £3m after the game yesterday that Harry also had his say. Redknapp said:
'It's all very strange to me how they have suddenly offered £3million for him, The manager of Chelsea, who's a lovely guy and honest as the day is long, comes on television and denies they made an offer for Pienaar - so I don't know who has made the offer.(Source:Metro)
I've got my own ideas about the whole situation but I couldn't say. I think I do know what's happening but if I said I would be in big trouble.'
So what do you all think? Is Harry way off or does he make sense. Now I will more than likely be slated again on here for running the story but you have to sit up and take notice.
I love Carlo, think the world of the bloke, but as my other post said, it doesn't seem 100% right behind the scenes in my own opinion. Why would Carlo say what he did about Pienaar and then Chelsea agree a fee of £3m for the player literally days after? Ok, it could have been a smokescreen but do you honestly believe that Pienaar is of enough quality to come and provide competition for places at Chelsea anyway?.
I just wonder if this is a Carlo signing if it does go through or has Carlo just got to get on a deal with it these days?.
