We all are well aware of the problems we have faced over recent weeks and hopefully the change of mood and confidence levels after thumping ARSENAL's conqueror's Ipswich 7-0 last weekend. There is little doubt and I think you will agree with me when I say that the next seven Premier League games (with FA Cup and our first leg of the Champions League round of 16 sandwiched in between) will define Chelsea's season.
John Terry and Frank Lampard have had their say lately and I agree with the both of them. Chelsea need to start winning league games and need to win the next seven on the spin to put ourselves right back in contention.
All of them are winnable when Chelsea are playing well and everyone is at the peak of their form. It's down to Chelsea to make sure they do everything they can to win each game one at a time and with important players either returning from injury to bolster the options Carlo has, or important players looking to find their form once again, it's the most important period of the season.
So looking at the next seven League games I am asking you all what you believe to be an acceptable points tally once the whistle blows on the last of the seven games on Tuesday 1st March at home to Man United.
The games are as follows:
Blackburn (H)
Bolton (A)
Sunderland (A)
Liverpool (H)
Fulham (A)
Birmingham (H)
Manchester United (H).
We all know against Sunderland, Liverpool and Birmingham we have some scores to settle and Carlo will have no problem lifting the boys for each game. I would have to say right now, bearing in mind where we are, we cannot afford to drop any points at all. So I am hoping Chelsea will take 21 out of 21.
What do you think? What's an acceptable points tally from these games?
KTBFFH.
