There is no question that the return of Frank Lampard to the first team squad and on the bench against Spurs last weekend has given everyone at the club a huge boost. To then see Frank back in action, albeit with a couple of touches but nothing more was even better still. It has given all of us a buzz ahead of the two biggest games of our season and crunch time for Chelsea.
The question I am asking you the Chelsea fan reading this is:
What do you expect from Frank Lampard on Sunday? Now the reason I am asking the question is purely because of expectation. That's the level of expectation we the fans have come to expect from Lamps but also because of the standard that Frank set's himself.
What we do have to remember is that he has been out for a good couple of months now through injury and it will take some time to get his match fitness back. I am sure the medical team at the Bridge have been working hard to get him ready and as fit as possible however, you cannot underestimate the level of actual match fitness you get by taking part and playing games.
Even still, this is Frank Lampard we are talking about. He is a class act and class is permanent. Just one late run or killer pass from Frank in a split second or an instant can change the game for us in our favour and this is where he could be key in such an important game.
There maybe times he struggles and blows about on the pitch and that's to be expected, but Frank being Frank will want to give it his all.
So tell me people, what do you expect from Super Frankie Lampard on Sunday?
