Jeffrey Bruma (pictured to the right of Drogba) is quoted today here stating that he is looking to leave Chelsea on loan. At a time when we have been plagued by injuries to John Terry and Alex, I find it very strange to be talking about a move when it's obvious that he is needed as cover.
He told Voetbal International:
"I'm definitely interested in leaving Chelsea on loan. I don't really know what Chelsea want though. I'm not the type of person to step up to manager Carlo Ancelotti to say that I want to leave. That just feels a bit strange. I'd be quite happy with a loan move though. We'll have to wait and see what happens in the next few weeks.Again, timing not so great with the injuries we have. It still sounds to me that he is being encouraged by people outside the club to push to play or be allowed to go and play somewhere else. Will be interesting to see what happens but to be honest I can't see it happening this season.
It would be best to join another Premier League side, but I'd also be quite happy to join a German or Dutch club. I'm really interested in joining PSV on loan. They play European football and are one of the top teams in the Eredivisie. It'd be fun to play for PSV."
