I have to say I wasn't surprised when I heard the news from Nico's brother Claude Anelka featured in this article. His brother is quoted as saying:
"Nicolas told me he is interested in playing in the United States, We could see him crossing the Atlantic, and I'm serious when I say this. Now Anelka is 31 at the moment and will be 33 by the time his contract expires in the summer of 2012. It's a very similar situation to Michael Ballack as he is 33 and was released.
He asked himself what he will do once his current contract runs out. The US is quite something, and a dream destination. He says he will give it a try, even though he would earn less money than in somewhere like Qatar."
I guess from the players point of view he has done his time in England and if he wants to finish up the USA then fair play to him. After all his brother has said its a dream destination.
So I was wondering, if you didn't have to worry about the money, and would have plenty of options to choose from, where would you want to finish your career?
