JT: "This is the kick up the backside we all needed!"

John Terry has spoken of the woeful performance at Liverpool yesterday and has said the following:

“I don't think we ever take things for granted at this football club. But maybe this is the kick up the backside that maybe we all needed.

We haven't been playing too well, but we've still be grinding our results. We've still got another gear to find, definitely.

I'm disappointed to lose the game in the manner we did, really. We lost it first half. But the last couple of games away from home, Blackburn especially, we started the game very slow: and we did the same (at Anfield).

(Torres) was very good. Got in behind me for the first goal, which on a personal note I'm disappointed with. Then he scored a very good second goal as well. But he's a world class player, and no doubt he'd going to keep scoring goals. That might be the boost he needed as well.

Liverpool are certainly a better side than the league table says at the minute, and I'm sure if they play like that they'll creep up the table.”

Its good to hear JT admitting some mistakes and the fact that the team isn't playing well. Let's hope we can pull it together in time for Fulham on Wednesday night!.
