Darijo Srna - "There were talks, especially with Chelsea!"

Last week I posted on here about the Shakhtar Donetsk right back Darijo Srna and reports that Chelsea were interested in his services. We asked the question why would we need him when we have Ivanovic, Bosingwa and Ferreira and you guys stated your views but it seems that this one just won't go away.

Srna himself has spoken out about the speculation and has only added fuel to fire regarding a possible move to Chelsea next summer. He said:

"There is a difference between newspaper headlines and what really goes on. Maybe 70 to 80 per cent of the time it's true, there were talks, especially with Chelsea."

Of course it could be influence from his agent as to the reason why he is stating what he is but its strange to have a player come out and state officially that he has spoken to Chelsea about a deal if it isn't true.

Makes me wonder if Ferreira will be allowed to leave at the end of the season.
