The "reported" news of Yossi Benayoun's injury being worse than expected is doing the rounds today after the Israel Football Federation claimed he would be out for "several months".
Personally for the player it's a blow without question but for me, at the moment it isn't for us!.
Reason being is that firstly, he wouldn't command a start in the side looking at the Arsenal game. With Lampard's return from injury on the horizon it's my belief that Ramires would drop to the bench as he continues to find his feet in the Premier League.
Secondly, Benayoun would be involved in the majority of games from the bench anyway at the moment and would have played from the start in the League Cup but we are now out of that competition anyway.
Thirdly, the emergence this season of Josh McEachran has provided Ancelotti will an addition to the squad that I believe, can be called upon after Ramires for the time that Benayoun is out.
Of course we hope the news isn't as bad as expected and I have to re-iterate that no official word has come from Chelsea yet, but for me right now we can cope without him.
