Tomorrow Chelsea make the trip to Eastlands to take on Manchester City in the biggest game both sides have had to face so far this season. We have had the build up and people have had their say, now it's time to focus on the game itself. With City's defensive problems and Chelsea welcoming back the big guns in our strongest eleven (minus Frank Lampard) the sign's before the game look good for Chelsea.
However, after last season's two defeats and City's spending power a MAJOR consideration, this is not going to be any walk in the park for Chelsea as they post an attacking threat that needs to be taken seriously. Its City's defensive problems and with only 11 players 100% fit, this is a game Chelsea HAVE to take by the scruff of the neck and win tomorrow!.
Carlo Ancelotti has already named the team for tomorrow. Chelseafc.com have it on the site now. The team to take to the pitch at 1245 tomorrow is:
Petr Cech, Branislav Ivanovic, Alex, John Terry, Ashley Cole, Michael Essien, John Mikel Obi, Ramires, Nicolas Anelka, Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda .
With Lampard, Benayoun, Kalou and Bosingwa missing it still looks a strong side. Expect the youngsters to fill the bench tomorrow including Josh McEachran.
Carlo spoke today ahead of the game and said:
Now over to Manchester City and they have injury problems galore!. They have only three fully fit defenders available as Micah Richards is the latest casualty of Mancini's training regimes. Mancini has to make a decision whether to risk someone like Boateng or Lescott at left back or put Gareth Barry there.

You do have to wonder with the amount of players City have in their squad why they have so many injuries. I suggest City fans read the article linked above and will prove to be a real eye opener.
This is the perfect time for Chelsea to play City. We have our strongest back five (including Cech) playing and with the tireless twins in Ramires and Essien looking to support our strongest front three in Drogba, Anelka and Malouda, City WILL have problems dealing with us tomorrow.
I am not being arrogant or mean any disrespect to City in any way whatsoever, and before I get swamped with City fans on here cursing and giving it the big one I ask you, the real die-hard City fans, to think carefully about your chances tomorrow and dealing with the Chelsea threat.
Yes you did the double over us last season but you HAVE to remember. Back then in both games Chelsea played with their "4-Diamond-2" formation. You exploited the weakness of our formation and quite deservedly beat us on both occasions.
Tomorrow is totally different. With 21 goals in 5 Premier League games we have and are much more of an attacking threat from all areas of the pitch and Mancini and the fans at Eastlands will be wary tomorrow as soon as Chelsea get hold of the ball and look to get forward. If Chelsea have their way early it could be a long afternoon for them.
That's not saying City won't pose Chelsea problems. They have a strong midfield. I remember the away game at Eastlands last season and Nigel De Jong played out of his skin against us. Next to Gareth Barry and Yaya Toure the will be a match for our midfield three!.
Their forward line also poses a threat to our defense and the pain in the arse Carlos Tevez will always look to hassle anyone at the back for Chelsea with the ball. Chelsea will need to be up and at it from the beginning of the game and if we aren't City through the midfield and forward line will look to exploit any weakness in our formation.
It's a shame that City do not have their first eleven playing tomorrow so the neutrals and both sets of fans can see exactly where we are for the season. Of course City have a ready made excuse with the players out injured but come kick off there is no excuse.
So looking at both sides on paper ahead of the game, with revenge in Chelsea players and fans minds tomorrow and the fact that Joe Hart will need to be at his best all game to keep our free scoring side quiet. I have to say that with all the injuries they face and the fact that they are yet to really gel as a side, I can only see a Chelsea win. So I am going for 3-1 Chelsea!.

'The Carling Cup was another competition, we wanted to use this for the young players and this is another story, the Premier League. It is our priority with the Champions League and tomorrow we will have a fresh team. I have a lot of confidence with my players for the game.
Every game is easy after, You win 6-0 you can say it was an easy game. Before, every game is difficult and you have to prepare every game, we started well this season and now we have another game, a different opponent.
Manchester City is a strong team, players with a lot of skills, but it is a game, and we have to do the same, do our best and show our football for 90 minutes. Every game is a test, [this] is an important test, it is also a test for Man City tomorrow. It is a match against one of the most important teams in the Premier League.
They have a possibility. They didn't start so well this Premier League but they have a possibility, the time to come back in the first place of the table, Unbeaten I think is not realistic, because there are a lot of strong teams here, there are a lot of games and it is very difficult to remain unbeaten for one year. It is not our aim."

"Joleon has worked with us for one day. He is not ready to play 90 minutes, Jerome has been working with us for one week. He is not ready to play 100 per cent. I do not know what I am going to do just yet. I will speak with Joleon and Jerome, but if they are not available I am not sure. Maybe Boyata, but I am not sure.
I am disappointed we have all these injuries at the moment, I only have 11 players who are 100 per cent fit."
