Now there has been speculation a plenty this summer ever since the season finished, since the World Cup has been taking place in South Africa and more so since the news broke that Joe Cole and Michael Ballack in particular were released from the club. We are being linked with everyone and their mother at the moment.
I have had my opinion on the Benayoun signing and still stand by my opinion as Chelsea look to strengthen the squad and replace the players who have left and will be leaving the club before the start of the new season.
As reported on here the other day in one of the Daily Drivel's, Petr Cech spoke about the future Chelsea signings and reiterated the point I have been trying to make about the signing of Benayoun. If you missed it this is what he said:
"As a player I only hope that if somebody leaves, he will be replaced with a player at least with the same quality or better. I think this is important for the group then you know that if someone leaves, their departure will not create any gap between the quality of the last season and the new season."So I ask the question why not turn our attention to Wesley Sneijder?.
Today reports all over the press and the media state that Manchester United have made their interest known in the player to his club Inter Milan and their owner is even "expecting" a bid from United reportedly in the region of £29m.
We all know first hand the quality of Sneijder as he took Inter Milan to the Champions League final beating us twice along the way. His performances in the World Cup have been fantastic and he is a major major part of their success.
At the age of 26 surely this is the player we should be looking to bring to the club alongside Lampard and Essien for the new season. Sneijder is quality and there is no question about that. He would be the perfect foil for Lampard and I believe would also score for fun in the Premier League.
What do you guys think? Would you want to see Chelsea go after Sniejder?
KTBFFH!
Good! I will also love to see him in the Blue Jersey!
ReplyDeleteI think I would rather have Sneijder than Aguero to be honest.... both would be nice though. This guy could play in that "number 10" role that everyone is on about... can you imagine a team with Torres, Drogba, Sneijder, Lampard and Essien.....surely we could reach the promised land of the Champions League???!!
ReplyDeleteHe is wonderful but I see no way he leaves Giuseppe Meazza now. He is happy there and Moratti doesn't need money
ReplyDelete@Rip the Reds. We know he is happy there, but he has won everything there now and with the Spanish Waiter now in charge and not Jose' and with Sneijder stating that he wouldn't go back to Madrid, I think its a case that he is looking to move away if the offer is right.
ReplyDeleteShould have gotten him when he left Real
ReplyDeleteWould rather have Ozil and/or Bastian than Sneijder. Both are younger (?, definately Ozil) and are probably going to be cheaper
ReplyDelete@Chelseadaft: I believe Sneijder will be the FIFA best player this year, so his price will be at least £40M, so I prefer Ozil. Get Ozil, Torres and give the youths a chance, we are mostly perfect
ReplyDeleteSneijder is pure class. I would love to see him don Joeys number ten shirt.
ReplyDeleteI would prefer Sneijder over Torres, Aguero et all any day.
But I honestly can't see Chelsea spending that big on players right now.
my fellow Chelsea i urge our Boss Ancelotti to forget about Torres and Aguero and give us Sneijder he is the right guy he has the same strength thats Michael Essien has with Sneijder, Lampard and Essien and Drogba Champions League is in our hands and EPL also is ours, Sneijder Chelsea here you come, we the fans have already start loving you, come and join us number ten jessy is yours.
ReplyDeleteInter are never gonna sell their best player!!! We should get Ozil and Van der Vaart!!! And a young striker maybe Naymar
ReplyDeleteOzil definitely....sneijder would be good though but Ozil would fit into our pattern of play and oh, does he move d ball well thru oppositions' midfields? I love d boi, please get him....Ozil all d way, wiv Torres
