The Guardian is reporting that Carlo Ancelotti is looking to bring Bastian Schweinsteiger to Chelsea from under the nose of Jose Mourinho. In my view, the 25 year old midfielder who can play left or right, as a holding or attacking midfielder and a set piece specialist is the the type of player we should be looking to bring to the club.
He has a wealth of experience playing for Bayern Munich and has played in total 304 times scoring 32 goals and 59 assists. Schweinsteiger will be a major part of the German side in South Africa and will look to impose his style of play and character on their side in the absence of Michael Ballack. Who knows, after reports today about Ballack, it could be one for the other come the beginning of the new season and I for one wouldn't complain!.
KTBFFH.
If this is true then it's a nice piece of business. Very adaptable and could be an ideal long term replacement for Frank Lampard. He ghosts in just like Frank and he can bang 'em in from anywhere. Ballack out Schweinsteiger in. Let's do that.
