The return of Essien this weekend?

There is one player that Chelsea have missed this season that could make a difference in any game no matter who the opposition are. He might just be back this weekened. Its the Bison Essien!.

Yes the others have had to cope with their injuries to big name players, but people have forgotten we have had to cope without Essien. He is immense for Chelsea and has such a physical presence on the pitch. We have missed his influence when we needed a spark or someone to make a massive tackle to get the crowd going and the fact that he could be back this weekend is a massive boost to Chelsea and the fans ahead of our next Cup Final out of six against Stoke.

With John Obi Mikel looking like he will miss the game after coming off at Spurs injured, its a chance for Ancelotti to give Essien some match time to improve his match fitness although its now clear just how long Essien would be involved.

One thing is for sure, with Essien in the side heading into the final four games of what could be our biggest season ever it will give everyone a boost and we need it after the nightmare at the Lane.
