Chelsea went to Old Trafford and got the job done and it's as simple as that. Goals from Joe Cole and Didier Drogba saw Chelsea home and to retake the lead in the title race with just five games to go. Now its all in our own hands once more.
It was always going to be a difficult game against United, but we had the weeks rest to our advantage. The one major talking point was Didier Drogba. After Ancelotti had told the press on Thursday that Didier would be back in the side and starting against United it came as a surprise to leave him on the bench. The side was unchanged from the team that beat Villa 7-1 last weekend.
Chelsea started off the brighter, United looked very leggy and Chelsea dominated possession. However, there wasn't alot of clear cut chances created for either side in the game. Chelsea eventually took the lead when the impressive once more Malouda, burst down the left hand side and pulled the ball square for Joe Cole with his back to goal to score with a class finish, Van Der Saar no chance and its 1-0 Chelsea. The lead at half time was more than deserved as United couldn't get into their passing game at all and kept giving the ball away and it made it easier for Chelsea.
Second half was a different story. United came out with a different attitude and got at Chelsea for 25 mins of the half. They were all over us and as a result Chelsea began to sit deeper and deeper in their own half but still Cech didn't have to make a save.
The change, Anelka off for Drogba and a few short mins later the second goal came against the run of play. Kalou broke through the middle towards goal and faced with two defenders, played in Drogba who had made a run across the back four, Yes he was offside, but they do still have to be given. Drogba looked up and blasted the ball passed Van Der Saar and made it 2-0 Chelsea, surely game over.
But again United came forward and scored (with a handball) when low hit cross was palmed into Macheda from Cech and he ball rebounded first off his chest and then his arm into the net. Again, they still have to be given as handball and it wasn't so it made it 2-1 Chelsea with 10 mins left.
Ballack came in for Deco to sure things up and Chelsea saw the game out and got a fantastic three points.
It was a real statement once more from Chelsea. We had been four points behind United and in the space of two weeks had turned it round to make us two points clear now with five games to go. We are now favourites for the title and if we keep this shape and formation we have to be in the driving seat.
I don't care what United fans say about the game or about Chelsea. Their insults such as "Rentboys" and "Chavs" fall on deaf ears with me. The need to remain focused on their own team because YOU ARE NOT the same team without Rooney. I know it, Chelsea fans know it, the rest of the Premier League knows it and deep down you all know it.
This result puts us right in the driving seat and the destination of the title is now back in our own hands once more. We win every game, we win the league. Imagine that, what a turnaround from a few weeks back. For now though, we have another free week to prepare for the Cup Semi while United have to pick up the pieces against a stronger Bayern team in midweek that they lost to.
Things are looking up!
CAREFREE & KTBFFH EVERYONE!
I find United fans to be hilarious in their excuses

I have seen Uniteds shat blogs ALL THE TIME tell other teams to stop blaming the refs...and that great teams create opportunities to get those breaks
